This artwork is guided by a desire to capture the ceaseless verve which emanates from the Pacific white-sided dolphin, resulting in a composition narrative that pulsates with energy and motion.
The grand-sized portrait strives to draw attention to the dolphin’s subtle yet remarkable beauty by capturing the subtle transition between the dark and bright tones, the distinctive stripes running from the top of its eyes, or the graceful curve of its dorsal fin.
Paying tribute to the athletic prowess for which it is renowned, the leaping dolphin evokes the sheer joy of witnessing this animal jump out of the ocean surface.
Amidst swirling currents, a glimpse of the dolphin’s aquatic habitat unfolds in the bottom-left corner, conveying the vivacity of these spirited creatures as they gracefully navigate the waves.
Exploring the dolphin’s evolutionary journey, the skeleton portrayal sheds light on the beguiling evolutionary journey of these highly intelligent marine mammals.
