Why theheadlessketcher?

If you've known me for a while, you probably think the name The Headlessketcher has to do with how I usually prefer to "hide" behind my artworks and words.
But let me tell you how the choice for this artistic "identity" is slightly more significant than that.
Somewhere along my teen years, a school drawing teacher I held in high esteem, despite recognizing the potential in my work, offered a precious insight I have carried with me ever since:
I was told I was overthinking and constraining my artistic expression by fixating too much on the outcome, and that "I should try to draw as if I had no head" - trusting and allowing my hands and intuition to guide the process.
Embracing this advice wholeheartedly, I embarked on a journey of artistic liberation! With each drawing, I discovered a newfound joy and freedom by avoiding a need for overthinking and perfectionism.
In an era so often overshadowed by judgment and validation-seeking, we often forget what I feel is the most significant aspect of any artistic form:
Have fun exploring the world that surrounds us!
Hence The Headlessketcher - a constant reminder of what truly matters in my artistic journey: The importance of embracing spontaneity, curiosity, and the sheer delight of discovery inherent to the creative process.
